Enhanced ground water use by various sectors has resulted in problems both in terms of sustainability and quality. The basic requirement for implementation of any management strategy in ground water domain is a comprehensive database related to all aspects of ground water and their accessibility. The present effort to launch Ground Water Information System is an attempt to fulfill this vision and leverage access of ground water related data /information using state-of-the-art GIS technology in web-enabled environment. • Data mirroring and data update with staging server at CGWB
  • Integrated watershed boundaries as per CGWB guidelines
  • On-line help & support services
  • Role based User Management
  • Easy navigation based on administrative/ hydrological boundary
  • Rich Spatial & Non-spatial Data content on ground water resources with meta-data
  • Sround SOI reference system in 1:2,50,000 scale
